The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – Science Education Institute (SEI) has announced the opening of the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship for the 2026-2027 school year.
What is the DOST Scholarship?
The DOST Scholarship is a prestigious scholarship program offered by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) to encourage Filipino students to pursue degrees in Science and Technology. It aims to build a strong foundation for the country’s future in S&T by providing financial support to qualified students.
The scholarship is under the DOST S&T Scholarships, which offers assistance to deserving students in the following fields: engineering, mathematics, physics, and other S&T-related disciplines.
Benefits of the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship
Qualified DOST scholars will enjoy various financial benefits to support their studies throughout the school year.
A. Regular Academic Year
- Tuition and Other School Fees (for scholars enrolled in private HEIs): ₱40,000/AY
- Learning Materials & Connectivity Allowance: ₱10,000/AY
- Monthly Living Allowance: ₱8,000/month
- Clothing Allowance (1st semester of 1st year only): ₱1,000
- Transportation Allowance: 1 economy-class roundtrip fare
- Group Health and Accident Insurance: Premium
- Thesis Allowance: ₱10,000
- Graduation Allowance: ₱1,000
B. Summer / Mid-Year Term Allowance (if required)
- Tuition and Other School Fees: Actual fees up to ₱10,000
- Learning Materials & Connectivity Allowance: ₱2,000
- Monthly Living Allowance: ₱8,000/month for two months
- Group Health and Accident Insurance: Premium

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Filipino Citizen: Must be a natural-born Filipino.
- Academic Requirements:
- Grade 12 STEM Strand Students: All students in the STEM class.
- Grade 12 Non-STEM Strand Students: Must be in the top 5% of the Non-STEM graduating class.
- Graduates of Grade 12 (before SY 2025–2026) and have not enrolled in college.
- Good Moral Character: Must demonstrate good character and be in good health.
- No Post-Secondary Units: Must not have any post-secondary (college or vocational) units.

Applicants must prepare the following documents to apply:
- Form C – Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Form D – Certificate of Good Health
- Principal’s Certification
- Form E1 – For STEM students
- Form E2 – For Non-STEM students in the top 5% of their class
- Form E3 – For homeschool students
- Form E4 – For Alternative Learning System (ALS) students
- Form F – Certificate of Residency
- Form G – Parent’s Certification (no pending immigration application)
- Form H – DOST-SEI Scholarship Examination/Award
- Form I – No Post-Secondary Units Certification
- Form J – Signed Declaration by Applicant and Parent/Legal Guardian
- Recent Passport-size Photo (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)
- Birth Certificate of the Applicant
- Proof of Income (of Parent/Guardian):
- 2024 Income Tax Return (ITR) or BIR Form 1701
- Employment Contract (OFWs)
- Certificate of Indigency, Certificate of Employment, or Proof of Pension
- Notarized Affidavit of Guardianship (if applicable)
- Marriage Certificate (if applicable)

Application Period
Here’s the important timeline for the DOST Scholarship application:
- Announcement and Downloading of Scholarship Forms: October 6, 2025
- Opening of Online Application: October 20, 2025
- Application Deadline: November 21, 2025
- Qualifying Examination Schedule: February 21–22, 2026
